The honest terms.

These terms cover personal use of Voto via the iOS app and this website. A separate, heavier set of terms governs enterprise use at try.voto/terms.

Subscriptions and payment

• Voto Pro is £7.99 per month or £59 per year. Prices are inclusive of UK VAT.
• Subscriptions purchased through the App Store are billed by Apple and auto-renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the Apple ID → Subscriptions settings on your iPhone; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We never see your card number. Payment is handled by Apple (via the App Store) or by Dodo Payments (for web checkouts).
• If you subscribe on the web, we'll email a receipt immediately. You can cancel via the link in any receipt email or by emailing help@try.voto.

Your right to change your mind

Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have 14 days to cancel a new subscription for a full refund — unless you've started using Pro features within that window, in which case you've waived the cancellation period (standard for digital content; Apple's App Store policies govern the exact terms of App Store purchases).

Outside the cancellation window, we don't issue refunds for partial months. Cancel and your access keeps running until the end of the period you've already paid for.

App Store purchases are refunded by Apple, not by us. Use reportaproblem.apple.com and Apple will make the decision based on their published policies.

Price changes

If we decide to raise the price of your current plan, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect, so you have time to cancel before renewal. Price drops apply automatically to your next billing cycle.

What Voto is and isn't

• Voto is an educational product. It helps you practice using AI. It is not legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.
• Voto uses third-party AI models (Claude, GPT). Those models can and do make mistakes. Don't take any output as gospel; always verify.
• You keep ownership of everything you type into Voto. We grant ourselves only the narrow right to process it so the app can function.

What we ask of you

• Don't use Voto to generate material that's illegal, that harasses others, or that violates someone else's rights.
• Don't try to abuse the prompt critique feature to route around another provider's usage policies.
• One account per person. Don't share credentials.

Account termination

You can delete your account at any time from the app (Settings → Account → Delete). We remove your personal data within 30 days except where we're legally required to keep receipts or fraud-prevention records.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We'll always tell you why, and give you a window to reply, unless doing so would break the law or enable ongoing harm.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else UK law does not let us cap. Everything else — indirect loss, loss of profits, loss of data, lost opportunity — is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. If you're a UK consumer, you keep all the rights the law gives you as a consumer, whatever these terms say.
